The Baltic Energy Innovation Centre (BEIC) is a non-profit making association providing a platform for international collaboration with activities focused on innovative energy technology in general, and biogas and biomethane related development in particular.
BEIC offers a wide range of services within the field of innovative energy technology. Through its founding members BEIC has access to 11 laboratories with top modern equipment and approx. 280 co-workers dedicated to the development of innovative energy technology.
TIGF, GRDF, GRTgaz and SPEGNN released a forecast on the 21st of November showing that biomethane in France could reach 90 TWh/year in 2030. The number of NGVs in the transportation sector is expected to increase from the current 15,000 to 300,000 in 2035, in the most conservative scenario. The most optimistic scenario indicates 1,000,000 NGVs by 2035. The forecast emphasize the importance of upgraded biogas, bioSNG and renewable methane through Power-to-gas in the French market.

As an engineering and services group Bilfinger develops, builds, maintains and operates plants and buildings for industry, the energy sector and real estate. Bilfinger EMS GmbH, a subsidiary of Bilfinger SE, offers multidisciplinary services in the area of plant engineering, construction and maintenance. Bilfinger is a provider of the BASF Oase Green biogas cleaning technology.
Cryostar offers a range of small scale LNG or LBG plants for on shore natural gas or biogas liquefaction application. The technology relies on the principle of a closed refrigerant cycle to produce the cold power needed to condense the gas.
Bilfinger EMS GmbH and Cryostar will co-exhibit at REGATEC 2018.
The 5th edition of REGATEC will be opened by Dr. Jan Stambasky, president of the European Biogas Association and Ms. Beate Raabe, Secretary General Eurogas.
European Biogas Association (EBA) is the leading European association in the field of biogas and biomethane production covering the anaerobic digestion and gasification industries. Committed to the active promotion of the deployment of sustainable biogas and biomethane production and use throughout Europe, EBA has created a wide network of established national organisations, scientific institutes and companies. In 2017, the association counted more than 90 members from all over Europe and has established co-operation with biogas associations from outside Europe.
Eurogas is an association representing the European gas wholesale, retail and distribution sectors. Founded in 1990, its members are 45 companies and associations from 22 countries. The association aims to strengthen the role of gas in the energy mix by establishing an ongoing dialogue with European industry players, global producers of gas and relevant institutions such as the European Commission.
Bioprocess Control is active in the area of advanced instrumentation and control technologies for research and commercial applications in a wide range of industries. The company was founded in 2006, and brings to market more than 15 years of research in the area of instrumentation, control and automation of anaerobic digestion processes. Today Bioprocess Control has product exports to almost 60 countries.
Bioprocess Control’s flagship product the Automatic Methane Potential Test System or AMPTS has quickly become the preferred analytical instrument around the world for conducting biochemical methane potential (BMP) tests. It is used by both academic and industrial actors in the biogas industry. Bioprocess Control also offers a portfolio of exciting products in the areas of substrate analysis, process simulation, gas flow measurement, as well as a series of bioreactors. This comprehensive and broad product portfolio allows the company to offer technology solutions that can both stabilise and unleash the true potential of a biogas plant.
Biogasregister International AG act as a service provider for the European Biogas Register on behalf of, and supervised by Biogasregister International e.V.
The European Biogas Register is a supplement to the national register and enables the international marketing of biomethane.
Cortus Energy provides cost effective renewable energy gas solutions for industrial, transport and power applications based upon the patented WoodRoll® technology. WoodRoll® is a breakthrough technology for gasifying biomass that utilizes low grade feedstock to generate a clean and energy rich syngas that enables efficient upgrading to SNG (biomethane).
According to the communique by TIGF, GRDF, GRTgaz and SPEGNN released on the 21st of November it would be possible to satisfy 30% of the French gas demand with renewable methane (biomethane) towards 2035. The forecast indicates a growth of renewable methane in the next 12 years from 1 to 90 TWh.
Following the projections, larger and larger volumes will enter the French transport sector. The number of NGVs will go from the current 15,000 to 300,000 in 2035, in the most conservative scenario, while the most optimistic calculations indicate 1 million NGVs by 2035.
