France is nr 3 in Europe when it comes to nr of biogas plants. The biogas production has almost doubled from 2010 to 2015 and the nr of biomethane plants increased almost an order of magnitude from 2011 to 2016. However, the most interesting is the ambitious targets for 2023 and 2030, and the strong associated incentives.

HoSt is a technology provider for biogas plants and a supplier of biogas upgrading systems based on membrane technology. The membrane modules are arranged in 3 stages. In this patented design the permeate gas from the different stages is recirculated to obtain a high methane recovery with low loss.
GM Green Methane is an Italian provider of biogas upgrading equipment based on chemical absorption. The biogas is washed in a countecurrent arrangement with a water solution of Potassium Carbonate. Methane losses are below 0,1%.
