Electrochaea’s proprietary process converts low-cost and stranded electricity and carbon dioxide into pipeline-grade renewable gas for direct injection into the existing natural gas grid, a conversion process known as “power-to-gas”. Electrochaea’s unique energy solution decarbonizes the gas grid and  allows for the efficient and nearly unlimited storage of renewable energy for future use.

Using Electrochaea’s process, renewable methane is synthesized from CO₂ and H₂ by Electrochaea’s patented biocatalyst, a selectively evolved microorganism – a methanogenic archaea.
