TIGF, GRDF, GRTgaz and SPEGNN released a forecast on the 21st of November showing that biomethane in France could reach 90 TWh/year in 2030. The number of NGVs in the transportation sector is expected to increase from the current 15,000 to 300,000 in 2035, in the most conservative scenario. The most optimistic scenario indicates 1,000,000 NGVs by 2035. The forecast emphasize the importance of upgraded biogas, bioSNG and renewable methane through Power-to-gas in the French market.
